Saint Barbea of Edessa, also known as simply Saint Barbea, was a revered figure in the early Christian community. Born in Syria, she was the sister of Saint Sarbelius and was converted to the Christian faith by the influential Saint Barsimeus of Edessa. During the reign of Emperor Trajan, when Christians were heavily persecuted, Saint Barbea fearlessly professed her faith and openly practiced her religion....
