Saint Bartholomew of Rossano, also known as Bartholomew of Grottaferrata, Bartholomew the Younger, or Bartolomeo il Giovane, was born in Rossano, Calabria, Italy, around the year 970. He was the son of Greek immigrants who settled in Italy. At a young age, Bartholomew became a spiritual student of Saint Nilus of Rossano, a renowned monk and abbot....
