Saint Blaithmaic of Iona, also known as Blathmac or Blaithmale, was born a prince, the son of an Irish king, in Ireland. Little is known about his early life, but it is believed that he came from a noble and influential family. At some point, Blaithmaic felt a deep calling to dedicate his life to God and joined a monastery....
