Saint Casilda of Toledo, also known as Casilda of Briviesca, was born in the city of Toledo, Spain, to Moorish parents during the 11th century. Little is known about her early life, but it is believed that she grew up adhering to the Islamic faith of her family. Despite her upbringing, Casilda's heart was drawn to the teachings of Christianity. She began to feel a deep yearning for spiritual truth and conversion....
