Saint Edburga of Gloucester was born in the late 7th century in England. She was the sister of King Osric of Hwicce, which was an area in modern Worcestershire, England. Edburga was born into a noble family and was destined for a life in the royal court. However, Edburga felt a strong calling to dedicate her life to God. She embraced a life of spirituality and decided to become a Benedictine nun....
