Saint Edisto, also known as Aristo, Edistus, Hedisto, Oreste, and Rest, was born into the imperial Roman nobility. As a young man, he joined the Roman army and eventually became an equerry to Emperor Nero. It was during this time that he encountered Christianity and was converted to the faith by Saint Peter the Apostle....
