Saint Edmund Rich, also known as Edmund of Abingdon, Edmund of Canterbury, Edme of…., or Eadmund of…., was born on November 20, 1175, in Abingdon, Berkshire, England. He came from a wealthy and devout family, the son of Reinald and Mabel Rich. His father, Reinald, eventually retired to become a monk, and his two sisters entered religious life as nuns....
