Saint Eleutherius of Bithynia, also known as Eleutherius of Tarso or Eleutherius of Tarsius, was an Imperial Roman senator and chamberlain to Emperor Maximian Galerius at Constantinople. Despite his prominent position in the imperial court, Eleutherius underwent a profound conversion to Christianity, which ultimately led him to withdraw from his esteemed position and retreat to his country estate in Bithynia....
