Saint Euthymius the Younger, also known as Euthymius the Thessalonian or Euthymius the New, was a revered Catholic saint, hermit, preacher, and founder of monasteries. He was born in Galatia around the year 848. From an early age, Euthymius felt called to a life of solitude and prayer.
