Saint Fidolus of Aumont, also known as Fidolus of Troyes, was born in Auvergne, France, and is believed to have lived in the 6th century. His name has been recorded in various forms, including Fidolus, Fal..., Fidolo..., Fidouls..., and Phal.... Very little is known about Saint Fidolus' early life, but according to historical accounts, he was the son of an official in Auvergne....
