Saint Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows, also known as Francesco Possenti, was born on 1 March 1838 in Assisi, Italy. He was one of thirteen children in a devout Catholic family. In his youth, Gabriel was drawn towards worldly pursuits, attending the theater, indulging in frivolous activities, and engaging in the chase for women....
