Saint Gavinus of Sassari, also known as Gavino, was an Imperial Roman soldier who was executed for his unwavering faith during the persecutions of Diocletian. He is considered a martyr for his steadfast commitment to Christianity. Not much is known about Saint Gavinus' early life and background, but it is believed that he was a member of the Roman army stationed in Sassari, Italy during the early 4th century....
