Saint Gerard Sagredo, also known as the Apostle of Hungary, was born on 23 April 980 in Venice, Italy. He entered the Benedictine Order and eventually became the abbot at the renowned San Giorgio Maggiore abbey in Venice. In the year 1030, while on a pilgrimage to Palestine, Saint Gerard passed through Hungary....
