Saint Ia of Persia, also known simply as Saint Ia, was born into slavery in Persia during the 4th century. Not much is known about her early life, but it is believed that she was of Greek origin. Despite her humble beginnings, Saint Ia's life would ultimately be marked by courage, faith, and martyrdom....
