Saint Jón Helgi Ögmundarson, also known as the Apostle to Iceland, was a prominent figure in the early Catholic Church in Iceland. He was born in 1052 and died in 1121 of natural causes. Saint Jón Helgi was canonized in 1201 by Pope Innocent III. Saint Jón Helgi started his spiritual journey under the guidance of Isleifur, the bishop of Skalholt, Iceland....
