Saint Marcellin Joseph Benoît Champagnat was born on May 20, 1789, in the Hameau du Rosey in Lyon, France. At the age of 16, he entered the seminary, where he studied alongside Saint John Marie Vianney, the renowned Curé of Ars. Being deeply inspired by the teachings and example of Saint John Marie Vianney, Marcellin embarked on a lifelong journey dedicated to the service of God and the education of youth....
