Saint Marcian of Tortona, revered as the first bishop of Tortona, Italy, is venerated for his steadfast evangelization and martyrdom. According to tradition, he was converted to the Christian faith by the Apostle Saint Barnabas himself, who journeyed to the region. Marcian then dedicated his life to spreading the Gospel, becoming a zealous evangelist in the area that would become the diocese of Tortona....
