Saint Mel of Ardagh, also known as Mael, Melchno, and Melis, was born in the British Isles to Conis and Saint Darerca. He was one of their nineteen children, and his younger brother was Saint Melchu. Mel's aunt by marriage was none other than Saint Patrick, the renowned patron saint of Ireland. Mel played a significant role in the early Christianization of Ireland as he traveled alongside his uncle Patrick....
