Saint Metrophanes of Byzantium was a prominent figure in the Christian community during the fourth century. He was born as the son of Dometius, who was a convert to the faith, and hailed from a noble family with ties to the Byzantine Empire. Metrophanes' uncle was Emperor Probus, thereby giving him a close association with the imperial family....
