Saint Nicon of Sparta, also known as Nicon Metanoiete (which means "repent") was born around the tenth century in Armenia, under the name Nicetas. He was born into a wealthy land-owning family but decided to dedicate his life to serving God as a monk. Saint Nicon embraced a nomadic and humble lifestyle, traveling throughout Greece as a wandering preacher and evangelist....
