Saint Paul Ho Hyob, also known as Heo Hyeob, Baolo, and Paulus, was a layman soldier in the apostolic vicariate of Korea. He was born in Seoul, South Korea, in 1796, during a time of great religious persecution against Christians in the country. The exact details of his early life and upbringing are not widely known, but it is believed that he came from a devout Catholic family....
