Saint Paulus Liu Hanzuo, also known as Baolu and Paul Lieou, was born around 1778 in Lezhi, Sichuan, China. He came from a poor Christian family and had limited opportunities for education. Despite these challenges, Paulus felt a deep calling to the priesthood and entered seminary at the age of 24. Due to his lack of knowledge in Latin, Paulus was granted permission to study philosophy and theology in Chinese....
