Saint Perpète of Tongres, also known as Perpète of Dinant, Perpète of Limburg, Perpète of Maastricht, Perpetuüs, or Perpetuo, was born in Dinant, Belgium, in the 6th century. He was the son of Count Ostierne, belonging to a noble family. Perpète dedicated his life to the service of God and the Church from a young age.
