Saint Protus of Aquileia, also known as Proto, was a devout Christian and martyr who lived in the early 4th century. Not much is known about his early life, but it is believed that he was born in Aquileia, Italy. He is best known for his role as the tutor and catechist to Saints Cantius, Cantian, and Cantianilla of Aquileia. During the reign of Emperor Diocletian, Christians faced severe persecution....
