Saint Relindis of Eyck, also known as Relindis of Maaseik, Renilde, Renildis, Renula, or Renule, was a nun and renowned artist who lived during the 8th century. She is celebrated for her artistic talents in painting and embroidery, as well as her dedication to her religious vocation as an abbess. Relindis and her sister, Herlindis, were born in the region of Valenciennes in northern France....
