Saint Remigius of Rheims, also known as the Apostle of the Franks, was born around the year 438 to the Gallo-Roman nobility. He was the son of Emilius, count of Laon, and Saint Celina. Saint Remigius had a younger brother named Saint Principius of Soissons and was the uncle of Saint Lupus of Soissons.
