Saint Resignatus of Maastricht, also known as Renato or Renatus, was born in the Netherlands as the son of Resignatus of Koblenz, a knight, and Aielis. He lived in the 5th century and served as the Bishop of Maastricht, Netherlands, starting in the year 437. Little is known about Saint Resignatus' early life, but his devotion and piety eventually led him to the priesthood....
