Saint Serenicus of Hyesmes, also known as Serenicus of Hyesmes, was born to the Italian nobility in Spoleto, Italy. From an early age, he felt a calling to dedicate his life to God and entered religious life as a monk. After spending time in a monastery, Serenicus sought a more secluded and contemplative lifestyle and became a hermit near the River Sarthe in France....
