Saint Thurketyl, also known as Turketil, was a renowned figure in Christian history for his efforts in restoring Croyland Abbey, a sacred house that had been ravaged by pagan Danes. Born in 887, Thurketyl lived during a time of great turmoil and religious upheaval in England. Little is known about Thurketyl's early life, but his dedication to his faith would become evident as he grew older....
