Saint Zota of Cyrene, also known as Ioata or Ioathas, was a martyr who lived during the persecutions of Emperor Maximian in the early 4th century. Not much is known about his early life, but he was believed to have been born in Cyrene, which is located in modern-day Libya. During this time, Christianity was heavily persecuted, and Zota was arrested by Judge Dadio for his allegiance to the faith....
