Saint Hilarion the Great

Hilarion (291–371), also known as Thavata of Gaza, was a Christian anchorite who lived during the late 4th century. He is celebrated for his dedication to monastic life and is considered by Jerome, his biographer, to be the founder of Palestinian monasticism.
