Biography

Saint Adalsindis of Hamay, daughter of the saints Adalbald of Ostrevant and Rictrudis of Marchiennes, entered the sacred life within a family renowned for its piety. Born into this distinguished lineage of holy parents, she was the sister of Saint Eusebia of Hamay, Saint Clotsind, and Saint Mauront, all of whom walked the path of sanctity. Adalsindis embraced the Benedictine vocation, dedicating herself to the monastic community at Hamay-les-Marchiennes near Arras, France. There, she lived a life of prayer, humility, and service, deeply influenced by the spiritual guidance of her sister E
