Saint Loarn, also known as Loaran, was a fifth-century spiritual student of Saint Patrick. Little is known about his early life and background. It is also reported that he was of noble birth and had a strong inclination towards the spiritual life from a young age. Loarn's path crossed with that of Saint Patrick, the renowned missionary and patron saint of Ireland. Impressed by Loarn's piety and devotion, Saint Patrick accepted him as one of his most esteemed disciples. Loarn spent several years under the tutelage of Saint Patrick, receiving instruction in the principles of Christianity and deepening his understanding of the faith.
