Saint Orontius of Puigcerda, venerated as a martyr, is remembered for his dedicated missionary work in the Pyrenees region during the early Christian era. He was the brother of Saint Vincent, a fellow servant of the Gospel, and collaborated closely with him and Saint Victor of Puigcerda in spreading the Christian faith among the local populations. Their shared vocation involved traversing the rugged terrain of the Pyrenees, establishing communities, and preaching the Gospel amidst significant cultural and religious challenges.
