Biography

Saint Romanos the Melodist, born of Jewish heritage, embraced Christianity through conversion. Ordained as a deacon, he served faithfully at the Church of the Resurrection in Beirut, Lebanon, and later at Constantinople, where his ministry flourished within the heart of the Byzantine Empire.
