Biography
Saint Ruellinus of Tréguier, also known as Ruelin or Ruellin, was a prominent figure in the history of the Catholic Church. He served as a monk, priest, and eventually became the Bishop of Tréguier in Brittany, France. While not much is known about his early life, his dedicated service to the Church left a lasting impact on the faithful. Saint Ruellinus lived during the 6th century, and his exact birth date remains unknown. As a young man, he felt called to a life of religious devotion and chose to join a monastery. There, he dedicated himself to prayer, contemplation, and the pursuit of holiness. His deep spirituality and commitment to his vocation led to his eventual ordination as a priest.
As a priest, Ruellinus displayed great pastoral care for the people under his charge. His compassionate nature and unwavering faith endeared him to the faithful, who found solace and guidance in his
words and actions. His reputation for wisdom and piety grew, catching the attention of the Church hierarchy. In recognition of his exemplary service, Ruellinus was appointed as the Bishop of Tréguier.
