Biography

Saint Seustio was the nephew of the imperial proconsul Ablavio. He was one of a group of eighty Christians in Todi, Italy, all of whom had been converted to the faith and received baptism. When the authorities discovered their conversion, the entire group was arrested for their adherence to Christianity. Rather than renounce their faith, all eighty stood firm in their belief in Christ. They were condemned and executed together, dying as martyrs in witness to the Gospel. Saint Seustio and his companions are remembered for their collective courage and the powerful testimony of a community united in faith unto death.
