Blessed Bronislaw Markiewicz

Blessed Bronislaw Markiewicz, born on 13 July 1842 in Pruchnik, Poland, was the sixth child of John Markiewicz and Marianna Gryziecka. His father served as the mayor of Pruchnik. Raised in a devoutly Catholic family, Bronislaw faced a challenging period during his education when he experienced the anti-Church atmosphere prevailing at his school, which nearly caused him to lose his faith.
