Blessed Charles Spinola, born into the noble Spinola family of Genoa, Italy, dedicated his life to the service of God and the Gospel. After studying under his uncle, Cardinal Filippo Spinola, in Nola, he entered the Society of Jesus in 1584 and was ordained a priest in 1594. Determined to spread the faith, he embarked on the perilous mission to Japan that same year....
