Blessed John Buoni, also known as John Bonus, John Good, John the Good, and Giovanni Bono, was born in 1168 in Mantua, Italy. In his youth, he lived a frivolous life as a jester in the Italian courts, indulging in wild living and carefree behavior. However, his life took a turn after a severe illness in 1208, which brought him to the edge of death.
