Blessed Juan Vargas, also known as simply Juan Vargas, was a renowned Mercedarian missionary who dedicated his life to evangelizing in the Americas. Born in the early 16th century in Spain, he felt a deep calling to spread the Catholic faith in the New World. With this mission in mind, he embarked on a journey to Peru, arriving in 1537.
