Blessed Niels Stenson, also known as Niels Steensen, Niels Stenone, Niels Steno, Nicolaus…, Nicola…, and Niccolú…, was a prominent figure in the fields of geology and anatomy. Born on 11 January 1638 in Rundetårn, Copenhagen, Denmark, he would go on to become celebrated as the "Father of Geology."
