Blessed Ralph Grimston, also known as Ralph Grimston of Nidd, was born in the village of Nidd, in North Yorkshire, England. He lived during a period of intense religious persecutions against Catholics in the country. Ralph Grimston was a married layman who faithfully adhered to his Catholic beliefs despite the dangers and challenges that came with it.
