The Martyrs of the Small West Gate, also known as the Korean Martyrs, were a group of lay catechists and catechumens who were imprisoned and executed together for the crime of being Christian. They were martyred for their faith in Seoul, South Korea, at the Small West Gate on 24 May 1839. Among the martyrs was Agatha Kim A-Gi, a laywoman who passionately lived out her Christian faith....
