Saint Bonaventure of Bagnoregio, also known as the Seraphic Doctor of the Church, the Devout Doctor, and Doctor Seraphicus, was born in 1221 in Bagnoregio, Tuscany, Italy. He was miraculously healed from a childhood illness through the prayers of Saint Francis of Assisi. Inspired by this event, Bonaventure joined the Order of Friars Minor at the age of 22....
