Saint Burgundofara, also known as Burgondophora, Fare, and Fara, was born in 595 in Burgundy, France. She was the daughter of Count Agneric, a courtier of King Theodebert II. From a young age, Burgundofara felt a strong calling to religious life, despite her father's fierce opposition. Her father insisted on arranging a marriage for her, but Burgundofara fell critically ill before the wedding could take place....
