Saint Eucharius of Trier, also known as Euchary, was the first bishop of Trier, Germany. He is believed to have been one of the 72 disciples of Christ and was sent to Gaul as its first bishop in the 1st century. According to legend, during his time in Gaul, one of Eucharius' companions, Maternus, passed away....
