Saint Gébétrude of Remiremont, also known as Gertrude of Remiremont, was born in the 7th century as the granddaughter of Saint Romaricus. She came from a distinguished lineage of saints, as her uncle was Saint Clare and her brother Saint Adolphus. Gébétrude received her education at the convent at Saint-Mont, where she developed a deep devotion to God and a strong desire to dedicate her life to Him....
