Saint Gerald of Sauvemajeure, also known as Gerald of Corbie, Gerard, Geraud, was born in the town of Corbie, France. He received his education at the renowned monastery of Corbie and later became a Benedictine monk there. Known for his dedication and piety, Gerald served as the cellarer of the monastery. During his time at Corbie, Gerald had the opportunity to travel with his abbot to Monte Cassino and Rome....
