Saint Macaille was a devout spiritual student of the renowned Saint Mel of Ardagh. He was born in Ireland and became deeply committed to his faith at a young age. As he grew older, Macaille's devotion and knowledge of the scriptures led him to be ordained as a Bishop of Croghan, located in Offaly, Ireland....
